Jeff and Heather Hemann

Jeff and Heather operate Carpe Diem Kennel and are local guides in the Healy area that live with their son and huskies off grid. They have both been mushing dogs since 1998 and have accumulated a very broad range of experience. They utilize their dogs for everything and anything necessary to get the job done, including hauling logs for building log cabins, training Iditarod race teams, and premiering on a National Geographic TV series, “Dead End Express” in 2015. They are very passionate people ready to take you out and give you hands on experience in the true Alaskan Wilderness.
